The last several weeks have been a whirlwind!
However, I always leave that place standing a little taller. The men and women I talk to are of every race and every age but are the most part very polite and respectful.
My father is in his 80's and served in the Korean War from 1951 - 1953. He has some health problems so we are usually out there from 5:30am (just to get a parking spot) until ... well, the last two trips we got home at 4pm and then 6:15pm so it is a full day! I will have dad back out tomorrow 9/13/16 for his labs at 8am and his doctor at 11am. I will bet money we don't get back until around 4pm in the afternoon.
Now, even though that is some long days. I bet I will meet at least 4 veterans out there during that trip and end up actually enjoying the day.
Although this post is not concerning bathtub refinishing I would like to ask anyone that has never been to see the VA hospital to give up just an hour of your day some time. Walk into the pharmacy waiting room and just pick some random person out. I promise the race will not matter, the age will not matter but you will have a chance to look into the eyes of a great warrior (past or present) you will see for your self that common sense knows no race or age it is in virtually every person there.
You will see how blessed we are as a Nation and you will hear personal stories that will rival any t.v. program or book you have read.
Bathtub refinishing Dallas August 30 2016
I was able to sand the old yellow coating off and refinish the porcelain bathtub to a like new finish in less than 4 hours. I asked that he allow an extra day for the coating to bond before showering.
